Mercy to host Diabetes Community Day

WOODSTOCK – Mercy Health System is hosting a free diabetes seminar at Mercy Woodstock Medical Center Saturday, November 7, 9 am-12:30 pm. Diabetes Community Day will include information and presentations about how to control diabetes. Attendees will also have the opportunity to speak with Mercy’s diabetic educators and learn the latest on diabetes treatment.

Diabetes Community Day will include the following agenda:

9 am – Meet Mercy’s diabetic educators and representatives from diabetes testing equipment and pharmaceutical companies. This will be an opportunity for attendees to learn more about diabetes medications and diabetes testing equipment.

10-11 am- Hear an A1C Champion speak about the physical, emotional and psychological effects of diabetes. A1C Champions are people with diabetes who share diabetes self-management and lifestyle strategies based on their personal experience.

11 am-12 pm-Virtual grocery store tour
